Special Events

There are many special events related to recycling that occur throughout the year. This is where we announce details of those events.

Computer, Electronics and Textile Recycling Day

Saturday, January 13, 2007
9:00 am to 1:00 pm
Buffalo Zoo parking lot - Parkside and Jewett.

Take advantage of this special day to recycle electronics and textile products you no longer use. Phones will be donated to the Buffalo Zoo and all other items will be reused at AMVETS retail locations or recycled and include:

• CPU units including hardrives
• CRTs and Monitors
• Keyboards and Mice
• Printers
• Cell Phones
• Rechargeable Batteries
• VCRs and DVD players

Participants will be required to verify that materials are generated by households. Please make sure items are not soiled. For more information, call 858-6996, email recycle@erie.gov, or visit www.erie.gov.

Computer, Electronics and Textile Recycling Day

Recycle your unused computer, electronics and textiles, and even Christmas Trees at the Buffalo Zoo. We'll be collecting your materials in the parking lot at Jewett and Parkside from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday, January 12. Click here to download a flyer with more information.
